cool post! i'm vicariously consuming these, esp. the grilled cheese. and i reallly like your hot choco gift idea--i wish I had seen this *before* i purchased gifts!

on another note:

I'm pretty sure the first commenter either a) thought it was opposite day, b) thought this blog was the vc gossip server, and/or c) has never actually seen meg in real life, b/c she is probably the tallest+thinnest person i know. oh, and her writing clearly HAS gotten her somewhere...or you wouldn't be commenting on HER BLOG....

and i totally don't like the slutty halloween costume so that might bias my suggestion.

also you could be what i was going to be, which is David Bowie as Alladin Sane, which if you still have red hair would be perfect!

I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. I remember when my hair actually went all the way up again, I was like "wooowww this is sooo cool"

I wore my hair in some sort of braid the entire week before I cut it off again.

ahh yes yes yes. did not mean to aggravate you with my phrasing. It's
difficult to be cognizant that other people who don't personally know you or
I may be reading this and actually forming judgments from it. I responded in
a private way to what has become a public forum...which brings its own set
of philosophical/psychological issues. But I digress. Whenever I leave you a
comment, I pretty much assume you already know that I support and agree with
you and your philosophies and what you are trying to accomplish re: fashion
thru a soc/anthro/feminist/etc-conscious lens. But I overlooked the fact
that other people, aside from VC friends maybe, are not aware of my
assumptions. I should have phrased my comment simply like:

"All socio-historical implications aside (because I do care, but can't think
about that via blog) and being *completely superficial* for a moment--Why
did I not see [such and such] in your closet when you lived upstairs?!" ...
a.k.a "'is this a new interest in your life or was I seriously self-absorbed
to not notice these things". And "I know your budget is not large; mine is
not large either; I would like to know how you may have acquired such things
so that I may perhaps acquire similar things as well."

Anyway, it looks like my dream of being the "friend" on an E! True Hollywood
story-type show is shaping up nicely. I got Max the actor, you for fashion,
and Elise as a musician. If only the lives of librarians were a bit more
scandalous....

Meg I never knew you were so into fashion! Do you actually buy the designer stuff, or just covet it? I like all your photos, they look (are?) so professional! Oh and lovin' the blue nails... mine are metallic silver right now. Apparently that's in style...but basically I'm in style whenever neon/bright/flashy colors are in style.

i'm talking about the links that you and kate have where people can click to link up to your twitter/email/facebook/whatever. Usually people have it listed somewhere under their title.

Believe it or not, I used to know HTML. I think my IQ has dropped literally 5 points every year since 9th grade.
