Thank you for your great support of Ronald McDonald House Charities for so many years! Thank you for helping keep families together when their children are in the hospital. You are helping children heal!!

Re: Friends, Tweeps, Links and Groups: Placing Value On Community and Friendship

Clearly I need to work on the quality of my connection because I am just now seeing your reply from 3 months ago - I didn't subscribe to the comments stream! But, yes, I'm in Austin, and I'd love to have coffee with you. I'm at the Ronald McDonald House in Mueller, and there's a Starbucks just down from me. This week? Email me at jgunter@rmhc-austin.org

Re: What is Google Doing for You?

We are using YouTube for Nonprofits and love it. http://www.youtube.com/user... Since March we have posted 16 videos including amateur, professional and PSAs. This has opened up a whole new world for us in terms of telling our story. We often embed them in our website: http://rmhc-austin.org/ and link to them in our fundraising (Kintera) pages: http://tinyurl.com/kmnjf4

Re: Friends, Tweeps, Links and Groups: Placing Value On Community and Friendship

Great article. I keep hearing people ask about the value of various social media, and I appreciate your discussion of the relational value. I'm not sure I get the "networks of connection" part of the diagram - unless this is just your particular networks. But what do the different symbols mean?
