garcetti is the literal barrier between activists and "scaling it up to everyone". activists fought to raise awareness and $1.1B via Measure H to combat the housing crisis in LA. the mayor has done literally nothing except lift an 11 year-old ban on arresting people for sleeping on the sidewalk. now he's solving the crisis with police sweeps. his policy is beyond inhumane. he's said he'd meet very simple demands of movements like Services Not Sweeps and still has done nothing. next time profile LACAN or SAJE or LA Tenants Union or any other org on the front lines of this problem and not the guy standing between the fight and developers creating it. link tv do better.

doesn't "black betty" mention birmingham? i mean, it was originally written in like the 20's or 30's but ram jam completely owned their '77 version. but then, i guess that's 30 years old too.

my friends and i used to talk about dressing in union uniforms and toting torches to these parties while threatening to burn down the KA house and the rest of the university, seeing as how the party was trying to keep with history and all. roll tide.
