The concept is clear enough: a Playdate has many Users, but they are indirectly related through the Invitation class.  Getting the "has_many through" correct was kind of tricky, in part because I misunderstood both the "through" and the "source".  I assumed they referred to tables.  In reality the "through" refers to *another association on Playdate* (although in this case it has the same name as a table).
