As as Thu 3rd Jan '19 I can only find three UK operators who support eSIM 1) EE 2) Vodafone 3) TruPhone

I phoned EE this morning and was informed that they will send me an eSIM in the post ! Questioned this, as eSIM is a simple software update to the baked 6x5mm SIM onboard. After a short hold, was informed, they still send something ; but now its a QR code. EE seem to be the only one who can port my old number via PAC process.

Looking at Vodafones website, I dont see eSIM supported outside of the Apple Watch 4. Truphone only supports Data only packages.

Does anyone know any different??

Bought a microserver to learn VMware but also to host local files. When Chromecast came out, and plex was supported, I bought the monthly plex pass.. Only problem? The microserver CPU just wasn't good enough to transcode on the fly... Too much delay waiting. I'd like to see a simple platform that plex could either recommend or sell themselves, that had easy storage upgrades. I'd defo consider it

I follow my favourite TV shows on Facebook.. and its annoying finding out who Red John was four weeks before because the show originally aired in USA, and the Social Media channels can only think local.

Think its time for micro-payments for online viewing.. i wont pay $/£5 per episode, but £/$0.99 ? more like it..

TV Detector Vans really? One of biggest myths to ever con the British public. Lots of articles online from around late September 2013, where the BBC admit to having 334 enforcement officers but make no mention of a TV Detector Van. I remember a radio show recently, where "Someone came on an said that he used to drive one but that there was no equipment inside, or at least nothing switched on. The TV license people used to use them to scare people into buying a license and they would have a team of people blitz an area checking on addresses that had not been registered as having a license."

However, TV without adverts makes the £140 worth paying. BBC is so very British..

Would love to see a follow on post on how to deal with the contacts if you ever find out... While I haven't got 10000 , I do have over 1000 and would love to know how to only sync certain groups. After all I know a few people online, but to be fair, doubt that I will ever contact them by text or voice .. Great article!

not really. considering you get three months free Evernote Premium included (at $5 per month) means its not $25 or $30, but $10 or $15 per notebook. Thats the same price as a normal Moleskine notebook

Transfer speeds are very, very slow. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but even I would expect 14Gb to transfer in less than 8 hours. Plus "Windows Time" is only showing half way

If I am doing something wrong, then I would also expect the LaCie Manual to have a section on what to do if Transfer Speeds were slow.
