Hi there, at first sight your promises sounded great (talking as a user eager to find a non-US option than Trello). Europe, and especially Germany, has generally high standards in data protection. Then there's the but ;)

Your article would be much more trustworthy if not:

* your data are hosted on Google cloud. Even though they are based in Europe they are handled by non-european employees due to 24hour service. I may trust you as a company but no way I trust Google...

* you only support Google Chrome. Again, a browser which is by far a closed data environment. Again, you could support Firefox and by support I mean development of add-ons etc.
* ironically you put Facebook share buttons on this page, which even though you are not logged in, collects your data. No big deal if your blog wasn't trying to be that "convincing".

So yes, I care vey much about my data - do your care enough?Thanks for listening.

Hi, in Trello you can create a task from Win Firefox (add-on) - can you do that in MT?

Not using Google Chrome since I don't want to be their little-brother ;)

P.s. only issue for not using MT :)

So in short, how to traverse all folders and find images not registered in the database and then register them?

No luckily not. Apparently there are some images not registered in the database (after a site reinstall) and therefore not visible in the media library but only through the server file management. Your plugin detected some of these. Now how can I make these visible in the media library?

Or better yet, let WP make a new registration of all files in all subfolders. What is used in posts etc. doesn't matter. I just want to see all images under .../upload... in the library.

Hi, just got cleaner Pro - after having found some of the missing files, not listet in the image library, how do I regenerate an image? What am I missing here...
Should I use another plugin, e.g. 'Regenerate Thumbnails', for that? If so, it can't find the file since it hasn't been generated in the WP database.

Agree, I think C1 is a de facto standard/LR alternative for pros. Therefore not just one of many in the market ;)

At first sight C1 seems packed and complicated but when doing my own little study, I see that some windows are divided into simple and advanced. Besides, their Youtube channel is also targeted on beginners.

I really think it's a piece of software which is very serious and hard to avoid if you want to represent the current top market. Admittingly, when you say, "I've approached this is from a perspective of a total beginner." I understand it's difficult to give credit to software which does need some investment in time in order to reap its fruits. On the other hand, starting your article with photographers searching for alternatives are surely not beginners.

Myself using LR at the moment but wanting to leave badly your review is just great and much needed. Thanks and looking forward to your third also with DxO :)

Hi, having used Crashplan for over 2 years. I think it's one of the best and most comprehensive backup systems out there - lately though been using Backblaze. Why?

If you consider Crashplan, over time you'll need some technical skills. If you don't regularly look into the status reports it may just continue not backing up. E.g. you'll need to reset cache from a command line.

Also, their settings are not very user friendly.

And lately their support just don't answer... Have a look at this: https://dl.dropboxuserconte...

Just can't get an answer. Quite unbelievable and in my opinion unforgivable when its my backup at risk.

Because of this I didn't renew my plan with the result that not even my local backups to my external drive, which should be free, are working.

Of course I don't know with the rest of their users but setting up a new ticket was just deleted by support...

Øv øv øv, jeg gjorde som du sagde og huskede også at genstarte for at alt blev registreret korrekt i alle tilfældes skyld men programmet forsvinder ud af den blå luft når jeg prøver at åbne filen (folderen med billederne er i samme folder som selve filen). Har faktisk aldrig oplevet noget lignende; i det mindste plejer der at komme en besked om en error.
Nu med 1 bestillingsdag tilbage må vi søge andre græsgange (ikke ment at være muggen).

Hej Baard, først og fremmest tak for den gode kvalitet jeg har oplevet hos jer.
Jeg håber du kan hjælpe mig her inden Jul. Jeg har før bestilt via Tyskland og har via det tyske Fotobog brugt timer på at sammensætte de rigtige fotoer. Da jeg så ville uploade "bogen" kan den ikke. Jeg installerer så den danske version men nu kan den ikke læse mcf filen. Hvad vil du foreslå jeg gør uden at starte forfra...
