No WONDER the palm sugar here is so different: it must just be the Thai kind. I love that popping effect of the sugar. Maybe I'll try hunting for "gula melaka" and see if I can find some here in the States. Thanks so much for the helpful info!

Re: Kabocha Squash Gnocchi

I'm not sure. It's never as good or fresh. Furthermore, there are just fewer Singaporean / Malaysian restaurants here right now.

How often do you get to go back?

Re:

Wow, reading since 2010?? That's soon after this blog (as "Tiny Urban Kitchen") started! Thanks for being such a loyal reader all these years. :) I loved Singapore and I would totally be up for going back. Thanks for offering to show me around. It's so cool to know people all around the world because of this blog. :)
Jen

Re:

Unfortunately I'm not sure exactly how many you can make. Maybe 12 with the full recipe? As for halving three eggs, you can beat it all together first and then pour out half the volume? Best of luck. I think it's BlogHer's new format of ads that they are experimenting with. I think you can click away the box by clicking on the little "x" in the upper right hand corner. I'm always looking around for better ad options, so if I find a better one maybe I can get rid of those boxes!
Jen

Re:
