I think all the layering grounds this unusual skirt and I like the way it came out. Did you have cold toes though? I love every piece of this outfit individually and I would seriously think of stealing any piece if I saw you on the street. So, run if you see me...

Thanks for the funny and rambling comment on my blog. First of all, I love patterned tights, I just think that patterned tights with denim shorts is 'hipster' and while I think others can work that magic, I'm not yet sure I can. Hipster is to me a neutral term, neither good or bad, just not me... the definition of hipster according to moi (which is not technically correct) is... a few years younger than me, seriously into underground music and film scene and drinks a lot of coffee and red wine. I'll need to find a pic which I think sums up the hipster vibe:) Thanks for making me think too hard on a Thursday morning...

About the shopping question... I totally agree. I (in a rare moment of financial wisdom) set aside money to buy myself a pair of fabulous birthday shoes but when I went shopping, I only found ok stuff and I held unto my money. But clearly, when there are groceries to be bought or a mortgage payment to be made, I'll find three pairs of shoes I have to buy... Hence, my empty kitchen cupboards but overflowing shoe rack.
