i forgot to mention that jaylyn has one similar to the 1st one & i had to replace it anyway because she's reaching the 40lbs weight limit AND because we were rearended. ;( once a carseat is in a car accident, it has to be replaced...well at least thats the law in CA. but we've had it since she was 1 & now shes 5 so it's had a good life! ;)

i say...read the reviews & go with the one you think suits your expectations. i read review after review because you really can't put a price on your childrens' safety. i bought the one on J&K+8 -- Graco Nautilus. i love it & i bought it off eBay for wayyyy cheaper than the store price. :)

I'm just like you...except I've pretty much come to the conclusion that I'll never be trendy because I buy clothes that'll last me a LONG time. I have clothes that I wore before I had Nolen! It's so expensive to buy stuff that goes with the trends too. Keeping up with the growing kids & small clothes is hard enough.

When I go shopping I think about bottoms. You can totally change up a look by the bottoms you wear. When you have a good collection of bottoms then when you get to a piece of clothing you can imagine it with skinny jeans or black shorts or a high waisted pencil skirt or leggings, etc...then i think shoes. because, like mae said, shoes can make or break your look. a shoe in every color is necessary. and accessories that can work with many looks or work for multiple purposes are good too.

you know..the way you style your hair can really make a difference. its probably cheaper & easier to do too. well..once you have the right irons.

i downloaded a majority of the icons off a website i found which came with a psd file to create more icons in photoshop so thats what i did. :)

You can make a private TumblrLog for people invited to view it. (you need their email address) I have one but it's more like a group blog so viewers can write entries too. If I think of other blogs, I'll let you know! I'm probably going to start one or two for my kids. If only Tumblr had a protected post option...that'd be SO perfect, huh?! or like a protected viewers list.

Do it! Make a photoblog....or some type of thing you can use to document all her precious moments & cute pics. I didn't really blog Jaylyn & Nolen's moments because my memory is still pretty good but I'm thinking about doing something so when they get older they can look back & know every little detail about their lives that we cherished for them. It'll be easy for you cuz your baby is still small. Everything is still fresh.

But I think you should PW protect it...you prolly dont want strange weirdos looking at each & every picture of her. (That's why I try not to publicly post the kids' pics on my tumblr.)

I can relate. My friends were always always always there for me for Jaylyn & sometimes they come around for the kids' birthdays but the huge difference now is that it's only special occasions when I see them. I've been blacklisted from their outings & regular hang outs usually because I can't stay late or I can't bring the kids. Though I'm not bitter. I just noticed the difference when there's sudden less people to call when you feel like going to the mall or watching a DVD with someone. There's a select few who are actually excited to come over and hang with me & the kids. But I too have made NEW friends. My husband's family & friends who also have kids truly GET ME, you know? We can talk the same talk & feel each others' pain & stresses. We all parent the same so we help each other out when we need babysitters or helpers.

I've learned to let people go/grow & always leave the door open. I guess it's a life lesson...an experience you can teach your kids about later. People come & go...all you can do is let them go/let them grow.

It's too bad we Tumblr moms dont all live by each other...we could start a support group/playdate!!! :P
