It's like telling a diabetic you're going to quit prescribing their insulin if they're a little weak willed in their diet. Insanity.

Re: PD: Woman's beating death under investigation

He's so good, why didn't he stay with you and your son. Again, you probably only saw his side, you obviously didn't see the way he treated her day to day like I did!! Again, a good, gentle man would have left, not committed a brutal murder.

Re: PD: Woman's beating death under investigation

I was in TN for a while (5 months). But before I stayed there, I lived in Pearland. Hell, I was actually her roommate for a while. And I've been back here 3 months and I was on the phone with her just hours before her death, listening to him scream at her while she was on the phone with me. I know more than you think I know. He was the one kept telling her he didn't have any place to go. Beg her to let him come back til he could figure something out. I've worked with her and lived with her. I lived with her when he first moved in. I saw things firsthand that he obviously wasn't honest with you about! So I was closer than a next door neighbor! As also her other close friend and new roommate who found her with her brains beaten out and unable to speak, gasping for air. Is that violent enough for you? Normal men leave a bad relationship, they don't beat the woman to death in front of a four year old child!

Re: PD: Woman's beating death under investigation

Violent enough that there is no viewing. I mean you appear to know so much, if it was so bad for him, why didn't you ask him to come back and live with you? She just wanted him out. So see, some of us did witness this first hand, how she caught him doing stuff, so you need to get your facts straight before you keep defending this monster. Because some of us lived part of this with her so what I'm saying is first hand knowledge.

Re: PD: Woman's beating death under investigation

How much contact have you had with this "great man" in the last few years? The victim had been trying repeatedly to get him to move out of her house. She repeatedly tried to end this relationship. I've witnessed this on again off again relationship for the last few years -- and I don't know what your definition of a "good man" is, but this is not an incident that just happened one night. He was repeatedly abusive to her emotionally and physically (witnessed by more than one person). But instead of pressing charges and having him thrown in jail, Instead OF calling the cops on him and pressing charges, she just wanted to calm her little girl to sleep. (I heard this "gentle man" screaming at her earlier that night). A "gentle man" would have taken a walk. Or packed his things and moved like he'd been repeatedly asked to do. And I won't get in to how badly she was beaten since this was a public forum...But a "gentle man" would not beat anyone so severely--for any reason. It doesn't matter how an argument starts, a "gentle man" doesn't end it by beating a woman to death. So see, some of us were close to the situation and he was not a "gentle man". Hard worker, yes. Apparently he made a lot of money, but he lived in that house and barely gave her any money to help pay living expenses. Maybe he was supporting your kid with him? I mean I never saw him help much with her kids even though he lived there. The oldest was afraid of him and chose to live with another family member. And the youngest started to act afraid of him too...so yes, there is more than what the news reported...but not anything that would paint him as a "gentle man"

Re: When is the Originals Season 3 coming out? And although I like the Vampire Diaries, it's more like teen drama...a supernatural 90210. Even though The Originals is a spin-off, it stands up well on its own.

Re: 9 Charged In Man's Shooting Death - Houston News Story - KPRC Houston

I am white chick very saddened by racism, but sounds like you got plenty of it saved up for the white man and you are no more right in your hatred than the guy wearing a white cone hat setting fire to a cross in someone's yard. African chieftains sold their own into slavery; some of the things white men have done, not nice. But are we going to constantly wage a war started by our ancestors or is it enough already? Hate breeds hate. When we're born, we don't know race or hate, it's all taught. Enough is enough is enough already.

Re: 9 Charged In Man's Shooting Death - Houston News Story - KPRC Houston

There is a difference between illegal immigrants and legal immigrants. You can't assume someone is an illegal immigrant just because they're Hispanic. However, of the illegal immigrants in this country, a large majority probably are Hispanic just because of simple geography. I have no problem with legal immigrants coming to make a better life for themselves. It's the illegals coming over, the sanctuary cities where when someone gets pulled over law officials can't even inquire as to their status, all the benefits they receive, etc. Mexico's own borders are tighter than the USA's. We have all the security at the airports. Terrorists know this and are probably just sneaking in through the Southern border. Very sad.

Re: Fingertips: Free Massages Help Battered Women

I was wondering if massage itself may be part of therapy for a battered woman. Would it be awesome to show women that touch isn't always painful?
