I just attended an amazing talk by Dr. Ben Carson during which he described his journey from the bottom of his class to the top over a year and a half. His secret? READING. So guess what my entire family has just begun focusing on again? :)

I am not exactly certain as to why this story was changed but to re-iterate, Momz Share is a not-for-profit networking group as it states on the website. All monies raised from sponsors and participants will be donated to selected charities. Money will only be used for admin costs and to purchase forks, plates, etc... (To lessen the burden of hosting for the hostess.) Lara and I have spent literally hundreds of dollars of our own money to create a networking group that is of service to bloggers and charities.

I have spoken personally with Amy Bair about this and cleared up any confusion.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns in the future. Happy to clear things up if you need me to!

Okay. Don't hate me for this but here goes: I was quoted in that article. I mean, I had one line. No, seriously. One line.

I didn't think the article was that bad. THE HEADLINE AND GRAPHIC WERE, but that is not the reporter's fault. She has no control over that. I talked to her today and actually, I feel bad for her. She didn't mean for that article to be anything but positive. Now I am pretty sure she is in hell because of the powers that be who named that sucker and slapped a shitty graphic on there. The mommy bloggers are rabid over it.

I recently had butternut squash soup with goat cheese and it was amazing. Not sure if you like goat cheese but if so... you should definitely try it! And by the way - adorable cats! (I have a dog ... still angling for a kitty!)

Like I said in Twitter - I have an animal lover here. Steve Irwin and Jeff Corwin are his biggest influences. (Since he was a baby) I am really not kidding! So what he would like to know is what do you study in school to be able to work with animals like Jeff does? How can he get exposed to opportunities that will let him do that type of thing as a pre-teen, teen and on and on?

Also - we need to know his funniest moment with an animal EVER. And his NOT SO FUNNIEST MOMENT with an animal. :)

Wish we could be there with you - you are going to be wonderful! (Zebra? BTW? Noooooo....)

A 7 MINUTE MILE??? I bow to you! Oh my gosh! I'm running a 1/2 marathon in the Spring and God willing (injuries holding out) another marathon in the Fall. I've never hit a 7 minute mile - you go girl!
