Although the biggest problem I face is the pee problem. My sister and some other friends favour a she-wee but they all said that re-learning how to pee wearing trousers and standing up is the hardest thing. I normally end up stripping off all my layers and flashing my bare but to the world; but it's not ideal in the middle of winter. It's even less ideal when my normal paddling group is a bunch of guys who forget to stop to eat some food/ have a pee - I'm always having to stop them, but never mind. I'd rather be peeing in the cold than be dehydrated.
Period wise I'm a tampon, glove and ziploc bag person, although I'm looking to try the mooncup... at the minute I'm on the impant so i don't really have any periods which I'm so not complaining about!

Re: Kings of the Flat

I like the Kings of the Flat idea. And the new Doctor Who. Win. It's a shame you're leaving Bath, but London is amazing. Fact. :)

Re: WTF, Nepal?!

Wow, Sara this sounds amazing! It's not too narrow on the shoulders like some ladies bags, but it's quite short, people over 5 6" might be pushing it a bit.

Re: On the other hand: "pink gear" done right

Ladies kit that I really rate includes Brigdale Walking socks, small enough and cut really well for walking boots/ approach shoes/ runners. And I love the icebreaker merino wool base layers; it's all about the merino wool.
Like nsmonkeygirl I've got a great Marmot ladies bag, it's a four season one and it kept me toasty and warm when I was camping on snow a couple of weeks back.
https://www.cotswoldoutdoor...

Re: Pink biners, pink cams and pink ropes, oh my!

Orange is a great colour, I've just bought a soft shell birght orange top from Berghaus which came in helpful when I was walking in the snow.

I completely understand the whole 'pink' divide, the first ladies dry suit that palm released was plum - a nice colour and all, but still quite girl. And again, the drytrousers have been given a bootcut style, which means I scuff up the backs of them; not ideal for a piece of kit which costs £100+ pounds. I think that Kayaking is actually doing a lot better than climbing for ladies gear, although it has been slow, but ladies paddles now have smaller shafts, to cater for our smaller hands. This is great because it takes the strain and pressure off the rest of our arms/ shoulders.

What does really bug me is the 'shrink it and pink it' mentatlitly. I mean seriously, how is that ever going to be a good idea!

And as to the debte about bras under tops for climbing, being well endowed I normally wear two sports bras and take one off to sleep in. Yes, I too get a uniboob, but just wearing a bra would definately leave me over exposed!

Great post by the way.
