Good question. I'd like to do one. Trouble is Emily lives in LA and I'd be so sad to do it without her. So I'm kinda just waiting till she comes to NY so I can spring this on her.

That's true and I have a lot of them! But they're of dubious quality compared to a band with a professional archiving operation like, say, The Grateful Dead. I should have specified - not a lot of *official* recordings.

Using a Canopus ADVC 110. Not sure if its the best tool for the job but it works and I already had one laying around.

I've spent a great deal of time investigating the problem ( http://www.jeffrubinjeffrub.... As far as I know nobody else uses M4A's like I do. This is pretty much as good as I can get it.

Yeah they're always tricky to get working. I don't think that feature's supposed to be used the way I'm using it, which is one reason I'm considering kaboshing it.

You know Tumblr's weird that way. I'm not sure why it works sometimes and not others. It should definitely work if you go directly to the image, in this case - http://25.media.tumblr.com/...
