Justin, there was an email I sent out and a related blog post with less information.

I never suggested twitter was going away. I just shared the fact that during SXSW our needs to communicate were better served by other platforms. But when we returned from SXSW we also shifted back to using twitter.

Chris you know I take having fun seriously.

I was never someone who looked for permission from anyone to do the things I did. I just did them. And I had fun doing it And I still do. And from this I learned that while we can outsource many things, it is not possible to outsource fun.

Which in turn reminds me that we can not outsource our life. We need to make our own fun happen. Which I try to do whenever I can. Sometimes the fun is subtle and other times it is obvious. But it is something always on my mind. Maybe it is because I feel as if I’m still a lonely 11 year old kid inside and not a grown up. And maybe it is because I don’t ever want to grow up.

Chris, I hope we both help make fun and share fun in 2009. :)

Hi Kfir,

I'm not suggesting that you are "wrong" but rather that maybe there is a way to evolve the technology platform without effecting the storyline and/or changing the way you watch TV. Until such an implementation is totally transparent to your viewing experience and adds value rather than takes away value, such a platform will be a failure.

And for your viewing experience I would like to believe the feature can just be turned off. :)

Just to clarify, I started publishing "The Pulver Report" in August, 1996. Back then I didn't know what a blog was. What started out as an email to 300 friends peaked at about 80,000 subscribers back in 2000.

I started blogging in July, 2003.

I encourage you to: continue to challenge the status quo; contribute to the shaping of the social sculpture of the web and help put a soul in some blogs posts that would otherwise would never be felt.
