I totally agree with you about the State vs Church shift in brands taking over content production. It makes complete sense due to the resources that large companies have to produce content, why use the media to be the middle man? I would love to have a conversation about this if you ever make it to Minneapolis. Restaurants would be a simple example, produce content with your customers, employees, in your kitchen, with neighboring businesses, at events etc. and screw paying for advertising.

You are always one step ahead of everyone on where shifts are taking place and breaking it down into lay mans terms for big brands. Always worth my time to watch.

-Jeff Nolan

Re: How To Make Every Networking Event Worth it

I believe this is one of the best points you can make about preparing for an event, know who will be there! If you have a list of attendees or can see who RSVPd, you will know who you want to meet. It is so easy to connect with people if you have a genuine motive to build relationships at events.

Re: How to Turn Old Contacts into New Clients

Ian, thank you for this article. It is very helpful for me in the fact that this is something I struggle with and am trying to improve in my business. It hit home that if I can offer them something that helps them and they already like me, why wouldn't they be willing to meet or talk about it? Thanks for sharing!
