I've been to a slave castle in the Ghanaian coast as well. It was a powerful experience. There's a documentary called Traces of the Trade which shows a family with deep roots in slave trading visiting the castle and several other places in their families trade, and then petitioning the Episcopal church to publicly reconcile their racist past. It's a good movie, I recommend it.

I am a huge fan of throw pillows that are deceptively comfortable. I know their main goal is aesthetics but after the initial "your futon looks so nice moment" I should be able to sit on said futon and feel a sense of coziness. So...my vote would go for whichever of those nice picks is softest, and I haven't installed the new Mac cop-a-feel screen that allows you to touch things through your computer screen so I can't say just yet.

Well, I started mine off by having a huuge pie party for all of my friends. I baked 8 pies. You were there, come to think of it.

Then, I'm going home to New York and will have a dinner with my family (including my new first cousin once removed!). Then on Friday, all of my friends from high school / church in New York have a big Second Thanksgiving, or 2TG. We all bring different dishes or leftovers from our family thanksgivings (I'll be baking pie -- what a surprise!) and it's a swell ol' time. This is our seventh (!) year doing it. Should be a good time.

B. Interesting stuff about aspergers...my friends give me a hard time for being absent minded (i put things down and have no idea where i left them, but it's more an issue of being unable to multi-task) but it's nothing like what you're explaining. it sounds like you have an okay grasp on it though....still, must be tough.
C. We can forgo small-talk whenever you want, and jump right into heroes or counseling school or caedmon's call/derek webb or why macs rule or how to change your earring (whoops! i forgot about that) or...you get the picture :)
