We were really lucky. Despite being in the peak season and us planning a little late (June - August if I remember correctly) we still found great caterers. The weird part is that the caterers came from Featherston (about an hour out of Wellington), we didn't find anyone we liked in our price range in Wellington, and Guten Appetit came out miles ahead either way. Unfortunately, my knowledge of caterers in Wellington probably doesn't help too much with planning for Sydney. Getting a good lead from someone with good experience (and taste!) probably goes a long way.

Nice. As long as you can get away with it (e.g. not run into trouble booking things during the busy wedding season).

Decisions must also be "the best" because you'll have to live with it for the rest of your lives. . . The important part is to forget about "perfect".

I've inadvertently kicked my diet coke habit, but I kinda want it back. I'm contemplating taking up coffee instead.

I worry about it, but then I make a point of treating the internet as a publication. Anything I wouldn't put in the daily newspaper I don't put online. It's probably safer to put drunk status updates in the newspaper.

I think if someone is sharing information publicly, then it's fair game for an employer. I guess future employers may see this comment. . .

That's a very refreshing approach. Kinda tired of the cynical "aren't real friends" approach. I like facebook slightly more knowing that half of those people can be something else - and not necessarily something negative.

Great list! Can't believe there's no comments on it, I really wanted to see what other people were planning on. It's a little late to start the ball rolling but anyway:
- Marriage.
- All the chores that wedding planning edged out of the way.
- Moving into a more reasonable abode.
- Seeing a little more of New Zealand.
- Make a return to writing and filming without dropping photography.

Wow. I shouldn't be so surprised. But the Stab article seems surprisingly frank in trying to lower the age that beauty "peaks".

I hadn't really thought about it like this before, but I studied the movie American Beauty in high school and it's story of "teen sexy" really was quite brilliant. That was a well chosen film.

I had friends who called them "sex" bands during high school (in New Zealand). I don't think the idea of the game ever made it through to reality. Some were having sex, some probably weren't but the bands were redundant.
