How hard would it have been to find out if the lady had a licence to carry a concealed weapon? My bet is she was illegally carrying the gun. If she had had a licence, my bet is, that fact would have been bigger news, and that's why it wasn't included in the story.

When you get right down to it red light cameras would be a great way to catch J-Walkers, maybe even those guys that spit on the sidewalks, or litter, even smoke too close to a smoke free zone. We can clean up the community real quick. Haven't you wanted to get those people that carry hate filled protest signs? We can even enforce a newly passed city ordinance immediately. Wow, we could live in Utopia because citizens will follow the law if they know they will get caught. Right?

Yea, you're probably right since the motivations of the government and the insurance companies are always above reproach and a citizen group effort should always be suspect. Those pesky citizens just don't know what's good for them. Do they?

It's interesting how I haven't received any "BREAKING NEWS:" alerts over the last week about the drop in the stock market. I received 2 a day during the Bush administration for every 100 point drop. I notice over 1,000 point drop over the last week and its crickets. I bet I get a "BREAKING NEWS:" alert every time it goes up in short order.

I live in Houston and pay about $60 a month in tolls, but I don't expect people in El Paso (or any other city in Texas) to pay for my traffic problems in Houston.

Interesting, so you're for subsidizing other people's highways. If you live in Laredo you believe you should pay for free travel roads in Houston. And by default, you must also believe that cars that don't use gas should be able to drive without paying for the roads they drive on as well. Am I getting your opinion right?
