I wish I knew, I can't get my ipod to that point, won't restart after make it rain. every time I try I have to restore to original settings (takes about 30 minutes!!)

I cannot get it to restart. I get the kids face and such for about 20 seconds then the screen goes black forever and nothing will come back on until I manually start Ituunes to recover the Ipod. You did say you have a 3rd generation 8 gigabyte Ipod Touch, correct? Starting with the model number MC? I would really like to know how you are getting this to work on this particular model while everyone else can't. Thanks for the feedback.

obviously you are doing something different, I have the identical ipod mand still cannot get it to work. What is that thing you are installing after the reboot, it looks like it is for a MAC? I know you said you are using VISTA but are you doing something with a MAC?

yes, all models that have MC in them.

just give up until another jailbreak comes out. If you have an 8gig, 3rd gen with the model number starting with MC, then you are screwed.

Ditto, cannot get it to work, just bought ipod touch 3g on sunday, updated and all that crap, followed every set of directions around and still have the black dead screen after the boys face. I give up for a day or two when someone figures this out.
