Good requirements do not equal a good project. There are many variables to make a project good, however good requirements *help* make a good project.

Just having a KPI isn't enough. Everyone in the organization need to understand what the KPI is, how it is calculated, what actions should be done with the KPI and much more.

Instead
of being mad at the employees for not using the product he should be
asking them why they don't use it. There may be known issues that the
employees know of that make them not want to use the product. Years ago
I worked at a company that had an online product and I refused to use
it because I knew all the problems that existed and when I was asked why
I wouldn't' use the product I stated the reasons and also stated that
when those problems were resoled I'd use the product. After two years
the product finally worked correctly, i then signed up for it and still
use it to this day even though I haven't worked at the company in years.

You should actually read Sheryl's book as she writes about how to handle yourself in work/non work situations and Sheryl would NEVER recommend manipulating the system just to get ahead.

I totally agree. Having metrics doesn't mean they are valuable, all users need to understand what the metrics are trying to show and what should be done with the numbers.

Feedshark is nice but it doesn't let yo do all of the sites, it only does the ones it thinks are good. Pingable is good too. Just make sure you don't use multiple automated systems at the same time as you could get banned from some sites.

You're welcome. However, sometimes when you are in an organization you don't get to select your role the role is selected for you and/or you play multiple roles. Personally I like to play all of them at one time or another so you can get a taste of how the other people work.

Every company should have a test plan or something that mimics a test plan. You should always check with your companies standards group to find out what they have, if they don't have anything that you can build one, which this post will help you with.
