Oh okay. Yeah, backups are a vital part of any blog. I've learned it the hard way - lost 2 years worth of blog posts when my hosting provider got hacked and I didn't have any backups, so now I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to backups.

What process or plugin do you use for backups? One additional measure you can take is to subscribe to your blog's RSS feeds. I know several bloggers who were able to recover their posts using their RSS feeds.

I know how it feels. Migration is always unpredictable and the only time you can relax is when it's completely done. Btw, are you on shared hosting or VPS?

Thanks for the reply Chuckie. Didn't read the product description so I didn't realize the package included the lenses. Since you mentioned them as add-ons, I assumed you had to purchase them separately. Looking forward to seeing the test shots. :)

That's one neat looking iPhone case! If I still had an iPhone, I'd definitely get one. Did you also purchase any of the add-on lenses or you already have them? Was gonna ask about the quality of the photos they take.

Great review Chuckie! These headphones look really nice and have great design. I love the cable loop feature! All headphones should have this kind of feature. I hate it when the cables get all tangled up. It's also cool that they have a lot of colors to choose from.

I totally agree. Ctrl + Alt + Delete is not a mistake and like you mentioned, it prevented a lot of accidents. Maybe in the beginning it would've been considered as a mistake but in the end, it turned out to be a great idea.

Really? Wow, that sucks! Were you able to figure out what could have caused it or which plugin caused the problem? Good thing you have a db backup, if not all would've been lost.

I don't get to play games as much as I did the past few years but like you, I'm a big fan of RPG games. Recent games I've played are Torchlight 2, Civilization V (both on Steam), FIFA 12 on Origin and I have a few games on my phone - Asphalt 7 & 8, Tiny Tower and Subway Surfers to kill time.

Recently I've been spending more time playing Order Up! and Zoo Tycoon 2 Ultimate Collection because of my 6 year old son.

Very informative post. Ever since I started blogging, I've always made sure that my post had at least 1 photo in it because I know it attracts attention and makes the post look nicer.
Recently I've been getting more photos from Flickr (Creative Commons) but in the past I've used other stock photos sites such as stock.xchng.

How bout an NFC tag that disables sending texts while car is running? Anyways, the safest, most effective solution is to stop taking/making calls or texting when you are driving. If you have somebody else with you in the car, let them do it for you.

Been using Firefox for a long time now. Started when it was still called Phoenix, then it was called Firebird, then Firefox. :)

The plugins that I use that are on your list are: Adblock Plus, Colorzilla and Screengrab. The ones that I have that aren't on the list are: FireFTP, MeasureIt, Copy Link Text, Greasemonkey and Tab Mix Plus.

FireFTP is useful for bloggers because it eliminates the need for another FTP client. MeasureIt is useful to measure web elements. Copy Link Text is for copying the complete text of a URL (no need to highlight the whole text and copy-pasting it).

Well written post, it was both funny and sad but with a happy ending. Glad to know that you were able to restore your blogs and get everything back to normal.

Backup, backup, backup. That's one of the things I often "preach" or emphasize a lot on my blog. I've learned it the hard way, twice. I lost a lot of posts and comments because I didn't have a backup. With the help of a WordPress plugin called WP DBManager, I no longer have to worry about that as the plugin creates daily backups of my WordPress db. And as a safety measure, I manually perform a backup everytime I publish a new post or get new comments.

I also agree with Dillon on backing up everything (images, theme files, plugins, etc.) not only your WordPress database.

Thanks! I've had that idea for quite a while now, just didn't have the time to implement it. I'm still working on my business cards design for now. Once I'm done with that, then I'll probably work on the tshirt and car stickers. :)
