I alluded to the obvious fact that your opinion and attitude was that capitalism has moved society to a perfect ideal state. That absolutely nothing, as an economic mode or system, can improve on it. To this end you are willing and quite comfortable with distorting history to justify your position and simply 'wish' away all its intrinsic contradiction. Yes! Capitalism might have been an improvement over feudalism and mercantilism but it has no social component in its concept and has created more ills in its wake. Don't tell me that modern day slavery, racism, even serfdom in the Russia did not have its origins in capitalism, that the massive inequality and global turmoil that we are dealing with today does not have their sourcing in imperialism which has been historically tethered to capitalism.

My purview was that these are not matters that you would address yourself with and there was a willingness to distort History in your pursuit. Wealth was the only metric that you have or are willing to use. I deal with facts not mere opinion; consequently I do not feel the loss of any compunction to engage in meaningless and endless diatribe form your pen.

What a profound distortion of history, obviously deliberate, making it impossible to have any serious or meaningful discourse on this topic. I must however add in closing, that perhaps it is this service to their fellow man that as enabled eight men to own more wealth than the lower half of the world's population (i.e 3.6 Billion people).

Perhaps you can read more into it than I can, not denying your perspective.
How many Indians have or have been charged with throwing faeces at or on other politicians or other human?

On the other hand, could it be that these "black miscreant" may be hired to execute these acts that even an "Indian miscreant" would not perform?
To me only the lowest reprobate of lowlife could walk around with a bowl of sh** to throw on another. I wonder if they would have a meal or dinner out of that bowl later, perhaps they would.

What a heap of crap! herein lies the problem. With this being the norm, it is only a question of time before you might be the next victim. Seems as if the solution was based on a significant input of random intuition rather than any spatial logic. How can this be formalized for the solution of other structures or for other structures where no diffraction data is available. Without electron density, Patterson map vectors etc. info MR would be impossible, I think

Thanks: That fixed the problem, things seemed to run smoothly until the reboot, but before that, at the fetching step
Fetching 36262 patches.....10....20....30....36262. done.
Applying patches... done.
Fetching 36473 new ports or files... done.
Seemed sort of large !!!!
And took hours rather than "15 mins" to do all the fetching
At the reboot step
Got a "Can't find kernel" situation and apparently stuck in the loader

I do have a dumpfile of the complete boot Disk and of the /etc directory on another disk on the computer and another copy of /etc off line.

Any suggestions as to the "best next step". I do have disks now of the 6.4 Release. Should I just go the sysinstall route?

UPDATE:
Was able to boot system with the
boot boot/GENERIC/kernel
command from the loader

Should I restore from the dump files the files that have been changed/merged? then do the upgrade - sysinstall from the RELEASE-64 disk which I now have. I had been told that upgrades across the 6.2 line was problematic. Perhaps subsequent upgrades =>7.0 and then to 7.4 might be less challenging with freebsd-update.

UPDATE 2
Decided to continue with freebsd-update in the interim by repeating the steps. Culminated -
sh freebsd-update.sh -f freebsd-update.conf install
Installing updates...
Completing this upgrade requires removing old shared object files.
Please rebuild all installed 3rd party software (e.g., programs
installed from the ports tree) and then run "freebsd-update.sh install"
again to finish installing updates.

Now I do have several custom, non-ports programs etc. Do I really, have to remove them in order to use freebsd-update ? or is the *.o removal sufficient. There are no ports to rebuild these from as they are proprietary.

Beautiful script, however this might be an unforeseen freebsd problem.

A minor upgrading from 6.0 to 6.4 prior to a major upgrade to 7.2
Script runs well apparently, until there is a need to retrieve metadata signature for FreeBSD-6.3 from update4.FreeBSD.org , well from update5 and update1 also. Screen output below -
