Eerily similar to 08 monthly. If we get an early monthly flush I'd be looking for a counter trend long. FWIW, no 6 mos red in 20 years. If we follow 08 we get a bounce for a few months. Happy Trading.

Jacksoo, it is always in the market. So far since 18 Aug it is 50% profitable and +3 points. Sounds bad but considering it is a trend system and in this chop it's pretty decent. we'll see. follow along and see if we can hit a trend before year end.

Silver has a 12% move so far today. Now back to 30. Are we seeing the peek a boo lows being put in today? We'll see. I just trade the system. 50% profitable and +3.1 pts since mid august inception. Not much to write home about but considering this crazy chop it's been right on. Well defined trend until end of year and we'll be flush.

Correction: SPY trend sys short from 118.73. -2.96 on the last trade though. Today's reversal number long is 117.63

It should be noted that since inception 18 AUG we are currently 50% winners/losers and +3.09. Not bad with this chop and considering we missed one big move down in june/july. Good also considering a trend system relies on keeping head above water while waiting for a big trend.

I humbly submit. Currencies led rally in late 08. I doubt a big rally will come when they all have just broken significant support. Perhaps early 2012. Anyway the ma's should keep a longer term trader short or out.

In other news, SPY trend sys still short from mid 119 and loving it. Trying to post an image but having trouble. be patient. :)

Be careful thinking a strong USD means weak equities. While that has been true for a few years, there are medium to long periods where that isn't the case. Beware recency bias.
