The marketing campaign doesn't exactly sit well with me. I used to look at this sort of thing and think, "Oh man, look at how edgy and out there they are! That is gonna grab people." Now, I'm not really buying it so much. I don't know that being edgy, controversial, or the shock/awe approach is the route to take. I get that they are trying to be honest, but I think people are looking more for engaging truths and God-centered transparency from the pulpit.

As far as the book is concerned, so far it's a pretty good read. I'm 4 chapters in and it's keeping me moving along.

Yes sir. I completely agree.

I do think Christians, in general, have an image problem of their own creation over the last few decades. People think they are simply hate-filled, judgmental, self-righteous followers of God. I think changing the paradigm is the right idea, but I'm not sure that a billboard is the right avenue to do such things (or the wording of it for that matter).

I love VW Vans. I had a VW Thing in college for awhile. But it broke down quite a bit too. I think after the second time breaking down in the same place... I would've learned my lesson. Hahaha- nice!
