I just recently moved to a mac (macbook pro) and have swapped my command for alt/option key in the Mac OS keyboard preferences. So that this feels similar to my desktop keyboard and keybindings feel like on my ubuntu desktop.

Nice review. Surprised that samsung seems to have caught up on the netbook scene given that they arent a big player in the notebook market.

I have used one and I must say I kind of liked it at first shot. Mainly because of the keyboard. Maybe also because I was not expecting much when I saw a netbook. I used to go bleh! netbook. But my opinion has changed since, a netbook makes a lot of sense if you already have a desktop.

And oh! If you accidentaly graze over the touch pad while typing you should check this out, http://code.google.com/p/to...
(Windows).
I think there is a similar app for linux as well or was that an inbuilt feature? I dont remember but you can google your way through, i am sure.

EDIT: I think installing syndaemon on ubuntu should do the trick.

Edit: The thing is, it all looks so easy when in theory, as in although this post makes me go, why would anyone want to be an asshole. But when it actually happens, I realize a little too late that I am being one. Someone really did put it right, its always easier said than done. :)

That coupled with the huge volume of dns lookup requests it receives from
all over the world will ensure in almost any site you are likely to visit to
be cached... Given this , I guess its best for me to move to google even
though airtel (isp) is much faster for the usual sites since google is
faster in looking up sites that i rarely visit and the regular sites i visit
would already be cached in my computer and might not even require a dns
lookup.

DId a latency test by pinging 8.8.8.8 and apparently the latency for me to ping googles dns is ~91ms compared to 14ms latency to my ISPs dns. ISP is seems good for the famous sites (due to caching i guess) whereas google is pretty much got a wider and stable range of sites cached and hence the standard ~90ms ping time.

When i ping my domain, which is new and unused, adn not indexed by google also. The latency is
8.8.8.8 jaskirat.info 300 msec
203.145.184.40 jaskirat.info 597 msec

and digging after 5-6 times for same domain gets me:
8.8.8.8 jaskirat.info 90 msec
203.145.184.40 jaskirat.info 18 msec

(I am guessing that because of the /archives/00031.html kind of relative link and the last time i saw that was on jeff atwood's blog, which apparently runs on movable type.
