Most of my experiments outside my comfort zone happen thanks to my wife, who has very different tastes than I do. It's turned out positively a fair number of times, but I'd never attempt them on my own. She also did the Ink Drop for several months as a way to get samples, and ended up with several of them in full bottle form as well.

That streamlined variant looks gorgeous. And I've been following fountainbel's work on that filler (and the Conid pens in general) for years. I just wish the price wasn't so high - I'd love to own one of these pens, but can't justify the price. At least I get to read some reviews and drool over pictures though!

I'd probably fill it with notes from my robotics research. I get all sorts of hilarious reactions from co-workers with the juxtaposition of a fountain pen with a robot.

I was thinking of the sides more as the 4E camp and the previous-edition camp. I would prefer they execute a game design that not only results in a good game, but also manages to make the editions wars less relevant. If it comes down to those camps, I'll be hoping that 5E continues the direction of 4E, as opposed to reverting to a previous design - but I agree, it's still too early to tell which way they're going to go.

I'm not too surprised there's no governing body - there's enough
militarization and top-secret satellites and not enough public
transportation. I would think though that various groups would have
some informal communication to check there aren't collisions. But
obviously there isn't a perfect system out there.

Yeah - I really don't understand why it bombed out so badly earlier.
Only thing that's irritating is the dashboard shows the "Watch" link,
which is counterintuitive.

For me, having the transparent lips does that. It's close enough
functionally, but seeing that slight touch of the inhuman creeps me
out. Though perhaps I'm just strange like that.

Priority Queue sounds about like what you'd want. I'm not sure how normal it is to get O(1) lookups to arbitrary indices, but it certainly has the insert functionality you're suggesting.
