We are right in the midst of setting up a charity brand of normal consumer products. All the profits from these products will go to help 'solve' some of societies and the world's greatest needs. These needs are based around 5 'categories' at the moment...food, water, health, safety and love.

The big idea being if we can convince consumers that they simply have to switch from their existing brand to our one, the profits go to help others, instead of lining the pockets of the big corporates. It's a simple, small switch that any individual can make, but when lots of people make that same switch, well I hope you get the idea!

I would agree with Derrick on this one, disruptive change probably can't occur on the back of small individual isolated changes like the examples. Disruptive change requires real sacrifice. However, if you can harness these small isloated changes with some organisation, then I think you can make gradual change occur. This is what I'm trying to engineer! Get people to change a little, harness that to make some real change.
