The fielding they put forth during the tournament was an example of how in Cricket, the left hand always has to know what the right hand is doing. Australia has that formula down pat with very few overthrows and miss-fieldings. South Africa while immature as a team on the whole, are well on their way to emulating Australia's phenomenal fielding style and should be a team to watch closely at the next world cup.

Re: Which Camera to Buy for Mom?

An average 256 Megabyte digital photo card will allow a user to take rougly 200 pictures at a resolution of 4 megapixels. If that were applied to a 10 megapixels camera, mom would probably be able to take 20 pictures before she ran out of card memory. It's best to go with the predecessor of the 10 megapixel camera in this case. Bigger is not always better.

Re: Homemade Flavour - Cheese Made From Expired Milk

Paneer goes really well in all of the Indian curries like mattar paneer which is a thick and spicy curried gravy with peas and and cheese inside, it can be added to vegetarian kormas as well as meat masalas and even layered in between chunks of chicken for a nice shish-ka-bob of chicken tikka tandoori. Adding thyme, peppercorns, your favorite pesto, basil, sea salt, anything goes with homemade cheese. It's all up to what spice mix pleases your palate.

Re: Flash or No Flash?

I am partial to the first photo without the flash, as the ones with the flash make it look like it's very dark there even though you're right about the striking foreground colors.

Re: Types of Dismissals in cricket

You forgot the 3rd umpire out! My second favorite has to be Simon Taufel, he's quiet but he's fair and has an excellent eye. If I had to choose my least favorite from any umpire now or previously, I'd say it would be Darryl Hair, he was dismissed for bad calls, then appealed and re-instated only to be dismissed again, needless to say it made for some pretty controversial cricket.

Re: Taking Action Photos

Very nice photo indeed, there's a certain airborne freedom in it that was captured at exactly the right moment :)

Re: How airplanes actually fly - Part I

I would definitely be interested to know how something that huge and that heavy actually does manage to stay in the air, I'll be watching your posts :)

Re: If Loving My Slow Cooker Is Wrong - I Don’t Want To Be Right

Hi Deb, a traditional five spice oriental mix will combine all elements of sweet, sour, bitter, savory, and salty. It can be bought in oriental supermarkets as a five spice oriental mix or if you have the spices at home the traditional preparation consists of cinnamon, cloves, anise, ginger root, and fennel seeds. Happy slow cooking :)

Re: An Experiment in Subject and Framing.

Lovely shots Deb, you truly have a photographers eye :)

Re: My Cricket World XI

Well, if we're talking about a fantasy team then it should include a few of the more colorful dramatic players such as Munaf Patel from India as he's liable to bean you in the face with the ball if you piss him off and Owais Shaw fom England for his long drawn-out batting stances, he looks like a chicken getting ready to give birth to his first egg :)

Re: Using the Night Portrait Mode

Fantastic job my friend :) You did it and I'm so proud of you...you're a star Deb

Re: The End of an Era?

Too many retirements equals defeat - it takes a long time to grow a team that works and meshes well together

Re: The Art of Sledging!

Going too far is going too far no matter where you are.
