You can automate this with my wordpress plugin, Tracked Tweets, if you are interested.

I also like to track RSS traffic in the same way.

Thanks for the Tracked RSS mention, I hope people find it as useful as I do :)

It is part of my strategy to reduce the number of visitors with "direct/none" as source in Google Analytics.
