That's a great army coming together! I like the lava bases -- they create a great contrast to the main colours of the miniatures.

Excellent stuff mate! I really like what you have done with both of the banners - they look great and really evoke the themes of the sites. You have single-handedly reignited my interest in gimp and photoshop.

Personally, when I'm facing tyranids, I tend to fear the tyrannofex more than hive guards or the harpy. The hive tyrant has about an equal measure of awe from me, but I guess I'm just more used to them than tyrannofexes. So, option number 2 gets my vote!

I'm still working on my shadowsword on and off -- figuring out how to magnetize it for all 6 variants and side sponson options has been hard work!
I like the shadowsword option myself simply because if I'm playing Apoc, I might get a good chance to destroy a titan!

Although my 2 main armies are chaos marines and daemons, they are very much related to one another and I can put the daemon miniatures in either (and potentially in to WFB as well).

I do like the look of other miniatures as well, so I often just buy a box of (e.g.) necrons to play around with or use for conversion bits! I secretly like Tyranids as well... choices, choices!

I like the combi plasma conversion - very sleek! And those alpha legion shoulder pads really do wonders for the overall feel of the squad as well. Nice work.
