In fact, guns are banned in those countries or strictly regulated if you prefer and it's definitely impossible for ppl with mental issues to buy automatic rifles at the closest bix box retail store. From what I understand and beside the high criminality and homicide rates, they REALLY prefer it that way.

I use more or less the same than peirz: (flags & mask(s)) != 0
I would add that, if possible, it is packed in a method similar to this: bool hasflag(int,flags)
