The thing I dont like about this, is that it disproportionately effects working class citizens who commute every day, and you know it will because they will always pass the cost onto the people. Is there ANY way to prevent it?

I thought there were already decency laws regulated by the FCC. Like the 5 words you can't say on television (used to be 7) and such. I agree that the hate and the fallacies need to be delt with, but I'm not sure about curtailing the 1st amendment. Ed does lots of fact checking against hatemongers like Beck and Hanity (sp), and that needs to continue too. I'm not sure what the solution is. Maybe a warning that these shows are opinion shows. That the views expressed are just that, views. I don't really know. But I don't believe these fear inducing people should be allowed to get away with lying and stirring up hate with their lies and I think that is what Ed is getting at.

I don't know if his audience is ever shrinking, he still has one of the highest ratings in his time slot, but I stopped watching when he started kissing Obama's rear in stead of being more critical. He is more critical on his radio program, but not as much as Maddow, Olberman, and Hartmann.

It really sounds like this person you speak of is insecure with themselves and took your kindness and generosity and twisted it to what they are. When they are nice and kind, they are just in it for themselves, even if it is a feeling of self riotousness. They project themselves on to you, because thats is how they are. Tea, you are a wonderful person who deserves much better friends than the trash that insulted you and your character. Dont let that person's projection of their own degraded self effect you. Its not worth your time and energy. You have way too much going for you and way too much going on to spend on moment or one ounce of mental or physical strength on this person. You know who you are. You know what your all about. If someone doesn't get it or thinks you are not genuine, tough cookies for them. A true friend sticks by you, even in times of uncertainty. Know that people do care about you and know you are the real deal, even if this phony doesn't.

I know you can live without it. For me, FB is just another news feed. Ill check it at night, when Im trying to fall asleep. That and there are a few out there that care about me to comment.
