The doctor met her at age 7. 5 minutes to stabilize the TARDIS became 12 years. The "quick trip to the moon" added another 2 years to the calendar. Amy's got some issues thanks to the Doctor.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;But where were Amy's parents really at, and who are they in the first place? Lots of speculation about River Song and the Doctor's relationship, but what if Amy is in the middle of it? And let's not forget about Jenny, the Doctor-Donna pairing, and that regeneration thingy. Moffat loves time travelling better than most writers, so I wouldn't put it past him to come up with some mad-mad timeline which incorporates some of the most improbable yet plausible outcomes which explains so much...&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;... including why the last of the Timelords is able to survive beyond his 13th incarnation.
