Excellent free campsite, well maintained, highly recommended. A few things to note:

1. The access roads are unsealed but otherwise in good condition. That said, if it's very wet, then 2WDrivers (like myself) should take care.

2. The information board in the campsite area was a little confusing to myself and others. In one place it reads as if the round trip hike to the Ada Tree and back is about an hour. It's about an hour from the Ada Tree car park (*not* from Starlings Gap)... and the Ada Tree car park is an 11.6km drive away. The start of the hiking trail to the Ada tree from Starlings Gap is a little concealed - it's off to the left from the information board.

3. Commercial logging activities occur in this region. This (and other reasons) can cause road closures for extended periods (weeks), forcing potentially large detours to get to where you want to go. Perhaps check this site first, or just give Parks Victoria a call: http://parkweb.vic.gov.au/s...

Re: Best of East Africa

I was there 20 years ago as a wide-eyed backpacker - but didn't get to see gorillas. It's barely noticeable in a room with lots of background noise (e.g. a busy computer store), but can be an irritating buzz that you don't want or expect to hear if you're in an otherwise quiet room.

Re: Feature request @ Gmail: merge contacts at Markingegno's drafts

Prayers have been answered:

http://lifehacker.com/51501...

The next request is now for some sort of feature to suggest contacts to merge, i.e. a search for likely duplicates.
