However, they're very aware of what I'm doing since I've been hanging out at an extra desk in their office since I left Oddcast. :) Of course I'd love to have some smart guys like that involved, but it still, even though they know me, needs to fit within their investment criteria.

Re: My Testimony to the City Council hearing on Promoting the Technology Sector in NYC

What school?

Re: The New Hype Machine

I favorite (love) stuff in last.fm so I can listen to my loved tracks later...

Re: Two Perspectives on the NYC Digital Community

I can't argue with the list of successes from there, but that doesn't mean the same team and same idea automatically works better there than here. It would make no sense for me to move Path 101 to SF because my network is here, for funding, my connections with schools, etc. I had no trouble finding a great CTO and designers are on the way.

Also, I've come to believe lately that some friction is good. If it is too easy to create a startup, that's a bad thing. When there are 18 different versions of the same company, I think you can confuse the market diffuse the enthusiasm for a new vertical, and then you just have trouble getting noticed.

Obviously, I wish you all the same success you achieved here, but you can't blame me for talking up the hometown teams and razzing the away team.

Re: What if the writers never came back?

I was willing to watch replacement players.
