I'd really like to see this happen soon. I don't have web for my cricket phone for a few reasons and this is what's keeping me from really utilizing Twitter yet. Its a good start that Cricket posted this video and they seem so be taking an active roll in this. Having a data services engineer post this is just a hint that the real problem is going to be the sheer tsunami of bandwidth opening up Twitter to SMS on the network is going to impose. I understand a little better why they haven't opened this can of worms. Thanks for this post! (found via Google search)

Last I checked my mail it said I had 5271 MB, (5.1 gigabytes).

I would never use this to store anything of any sensitive nature, but boy howdy, this could be useful for a lot of files I have to access on many different computers. I hope that theres a way to mound this "gDrive" in windows or Linux as a virtual drive, much like a network drive or Samba share.

whether or not Google uses this to be evil is yet to be seen.

I definitely understand your argument. Batteries are wasteful and ugly in the landfills. Why not package the EV with a decent photovoltaic (50 watts or better) or a wind generator? That would do well for short hauls, namely small errands within the neighborhood. South West Windpower makes a 400 wat (rated) turbine that includes a 12-24VDC charge regulator for ~ $500 that is roof mountable. One can build thier own turbine of higher output for the same price or less using scrap.

I remember this from long ago - the dark days before Bit Torrent when there was only Kazaa (non lite). I was searching for Nigel Ritchards, and I got nothing but dozens of copies of this mix. the title was "best techno mix ever - nigel ritchards carl cox frankie bones [long list of more tech DJs]". Havent heard it since those dark days. Thanks for the revisit!
