I would call him up in the mornings, or see him when he came out of the apartment he rented from us and I would sing refrain to the song Lonely Days "Good Morning Mr Sunshine, you brighten up my day" to him and he would always laugh and say "don't quit your day job!" Jerry spread more love and laughter than anyone I've ever met. I loved him like a brother, we shared a lot together over the time we knew each other.

Jerry found his serenity in nature out on that purple Harley. Nothing could make him feel better than a ride up on the Blue Ridge Parkway here. His favorite paragraph in the Big Book was the one on "Acceptance". He had his mother hand write it, in her beautiful handwriting, and lamanated copies to share with us all here in the Brevard AA group.

He was a great member of the Sylvan/Brevard AA group. He made great coffee and was always willing to help set up meetings and clean up. He always had a willing ear to listen to someone in need or a truck to go help. He is truly missed by our Brevard AA group.

I know in place of the sunshine that is missing from my (our) day there is now a bright shining star in the night sky up on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I know in my heart that he is now happy, joyous and free.

God bless, my friend.
Until we meet again....

Love,

Nan(o)
