D: it's not as bad as it has been for other assessments though.... maybe because I know that the people reading my essays will never see or speak to me, so if it's utter bullshit and they laugh about it, I won't know about it :D but no. beonging. i'm there.

cockblocking, nice term. I'm still apprehensive to jump on board the 'K Rudd has no guts'/if he meant it, he'd go with the double dissolution bandwagon. Maybe West Wing has made me a little sympathetic towards politicians, but they have it hard.

I have read a lot of criticism about the scheme, the money transfer, who'd benefit, the eventual dismal outcomes of an ETS...

But hey, I have hope, or what some may call naivety. Maybe without it, in moderation, we'd be too cynical, sceptical about everything we'd never get on with it. I don't want to be (too) bitter about it all. No one will want to support a cause promoted by some angsty, socialist cynic. And I don't benefit by criticising politics, that's the nature of the business. But I do like to raise a fist once in a while :)

Thus is my justification. Did you watch the video?

Man you are so eloquent. Have you written for the school newspaper? If not, you should think about it :) Share that talent.

I think I'm on the same page, indifferent, slightly supporting gay marriage. It's an issue for them to push for, and although there are some demonstrations, it doesn't seem like there's an overall immediacy for the issue.

I think what they're essentially doing is trying to change the attitude to homosexual relationships in society. It's not like legalising gay marriage will result in instant acceptance. It may even fuel the fire, widen the rift, spark an outbreak of extreme violent discrimination..

Your final statement shows your emotional maturity, though it is often seen otherwise at school... :P I like your point, it's open-minded awareness and acceptance that we all need to live in harmony. I guess that way we can all believe what we want, without feeling the need to force our opinion onto others.

(: exactly. i think i've come to accept it, everyone realises in their own time...
but after last year, i've come to think that there's only so much you can preach about until frankly, people think you're annoying and the message stops getting through (i only came to this realisation at the end of last year..)
my mantra this year is actions speak so much louder than words. So yes i do think a school newspaper is a fantastic thing, it's an outlet for those of us who are interested, and if we show that, if we talk, have fun, discuss (like we're doing now) create enough buzz around it, people will be interested.

If we always criticise, if we always say they're ignorant, then what? They'll believe it, they won't improve.

i reckon the wherewolves were nothing compared to TAI in terms of performance and energy, but i guess that might be because we weren't as pumped for them.

some people behind me were screaming 'we want anberlin' during academy too. but during anberlin there were heaps of older guys and girls there, who i doubt are as enthusiastic as we youngins are :P my friend said anberlin were amazing so yup yup.

hoping TAI will headline next time they come here too hinthint.. hope to see you at the next meet & greet then!! :P and good luck with your HSC
