Thank you so much for your comment! I am actually stuck right now. Instead of using an archetypal criticism for this study, I've decided to use a Postrstructuralist reading since the definition of the geek has been evolving as time changes.

I am not much of a graphic novel person but I think we are going to have Watchmen for our Film and Literature class next term.^^

This may sound stupid but I'm going to study a text-- a book containing creative non-fictional essays on being a geek, and the book is entitled Geek or And The Geek Shall Inherit the Earth. I'm going to create a thesis proposal that the geek is an archetype. :| I am discombobulated and IDK if this is going to work.^^

Augusten Burroughs is awesome! You should check out Running with Scissors.:) It was his first novel- a non-fiction one that contained seemingly fictional characters. It's awesome.:)

Here's my response to that (since 160 characters AREN'T enough)
(and another note: this is only my opinion)

Not only "retarded," it's actually ridiculous. Even though I could've shifted to Biology (just in case I didn't make it to the cut) I am happy to have stayed in Literature because hey, if people think Literature is just about the reading and the writing, excuse me. There's more to reading and writing. It's actually there ARE more to reading and writing (rather than there IS). Literature is about bringing life into a different and a more creative means, and that is through words. You don't simply read and write in Literature. YOU THINK. You think over-- oops, not just think-- you read, you think, you talk whatever you just read over and come up with meaningful insights and views that are beyond the comprehension of the many.

Hey Bill! I got the album Fantasies last month, and "Help, I'm Alive" is indeed a catchy tune. It would suddenly ring in my head (most specially the lines "Can you hear my heart beating like a hammer? Beating like a hammer...." God it's crazy, but in a nice way.

The last two songs are great too. I love "Stadium," of all the tracks.

And just like you, I'm new to Metric as well. And they're not bad... they are METRIC and they're fantastic.

You'll need cardboard (or anything similar to that. I used a folder), sponge, paint and plain t-shirt.:) Just sketch or draw anything on the cardboard, cut it out (it would look like a stencil) use the sponge to paint them on the shirt.
