I wish the Transit app or the website route planner feature is updated with the new changes. I am trying to plan a trip after 12/28 to see what my options will be and I am still getting 328 and 330 as if they will be in service.

What about the Honda Clarity? Wasn't considered because its range is 89 miles, or only available in California? The car is cheap and has pretty nice standard features lke Honda Sensing...

Sure, so here's what the command does:

"git filter-branch" rewrites git revision history. If you run only this command you'll see it going through every changeset to rewrite it. But since you did not told what to do, it does nothing.

This is the manual entry for --tree-filter:

"This is the filter for rewriting the tree and its contents. The argument is evaluated in shell with the working directory set to the root of the checked out tree. The new tree is then used as-is"

So what comes right after inside the quotes will be evaluated on shell. We feed "git diff-tree" with $GIT_COMMIT, that's the changeset from "git filter-branch"

Run only this command:

$ git diff-tree --name-only --diff-filter=AM -r --no-commit-id HEAD

It gets the file names, with their complete paths, from your last commit (actually from the HEAD, which is also probably your last commit).

And then, the output of "git diff-tree" is piped into "find", which executes perl to replace \t with " " (four spaces).

In other words, every changeset is passed to diff-tree, which uses find/perl to replace the tabs. But it does on the git changeset, not on the current files.

You're not supposed to run only the red part of the command :) It's an argument for "git filter-branch", so it executes on changesets.

Oi Anderson! Sim, o script funciona. O navegador vai ter já "pego" a imagem, não precisando recarregá-la portanto. Certifique-se que as imagens estão sendo servidas com parâmetros corretos de cache (Etag e/ou Last-Modified) e elas serão abaixadas com antecedência da segunda requisição (para o background do css).

Se você está usando <img/> com src normal, sim, o navegador irá mostrar a imagem mesmo que não tenha conseguido pré carregá-la via script.

Oi Lucas, não sei direito se há uma maneira correta de pré-carregar vídeos. O conceito de pré-carregamento envolve requisitar o conteúdo antes dele ser utilizado, e assim como as imagens aqui, imagino que bastaria chamar o vídeo, mas lembre-se que se ele é um flv mostrado em um swf, é o swf que você deve pré-carregar.

Heh, one of my previous posts (in portuguese) talks about how ideas are useless in business, what really counts are the processes and the implementation. Most likely any idea will morph several times before reaching a level that its users will enjoy.

On the other hand, rapid iteration and prototyping is really easy on the web. The seed is there, a simple tool telling you how to do something on a programming language based on what you know from another programming language.

I've said to Lucas (in a comment below) why I am not going to implement this website. I am not just "feeling lazy", but I have a couple projects that I am devoting my energy. Curiously, they're being written in Python. I had the HTFITIP idea a couple months ago, but never got around about getting serious to launch because I _think_ I am currently envolved in stuff more cool.

I might be wrong, and HTFITIP could be a huge success (as huge as something cattered to newbie programming language polyglots can be), but it's not that I don't believe in its chances. It's that when I open the text editor I feel more motivated in working on these other two projects :)

Manda bala rapaz. Sinceramente eu acho que daria um belo site, e a implementação não é difícil, nada de grandioso :) Vai ser simples e útil.

Eu só não faço mesmo pois, não é bem preguiça, mas estou já com projetos paralelos o suficiente para me manter ocupado por muito tempo :) Fazer o sistema em si é até divertido, agora ficar atualizando com as funções é um pé no saco. Eu já tenho um tanto de sites que tenho de ficar atualizando, não queria mais um!

Se/quando você fizer, avisa que eu dou uma olhada.

Great, so blogs are coming back to be personal diaries :)

I say go for it. Don't think too much. I was just revisiting some comments I wrote on Reddit, some were truly genius (I am humble), but most were complete shitty, I mean, they could be delete tomorrow and none would care. Gaza would still be bombed, Google would still sell ads, and I would still have sex with my girlfriend tomorrow.

And the truth is, that's life right there. None is 100% effective. Heck, writing good posts takes minutes, learning to write good posts take a lifetime. Just do it.

I wonder if this post will be regrettable in a few months. At least I can give the excuse that I drunk a few beers tonight.
