Hyperjuice recently did the same with theirs. Still waiting for a 100W+ with 4-5 USB-C ports (MacBook, iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch, extra battery).

Re: Where's Circa's RSS feed?

What @Anthony De Rosa:disqus said. But we'll actually soon be syncing both up. There will be our version of the blog post, and the Medium one. There are amazing network effects that happen within Medium, so we'd prefer to gain that extra traffic and attention at the expense of it simply being on our own domain.

Re: Techstars Boulder Rocks

And whereas I know you didn't fund us (Foundry didn't exist yet), I'll always remember the first day of you mentoring the Socialthing team and telling us that you hated our idea. The fundamentals are still there – mentorship driven accelerator. But everything else, including the vast size of the network now, are quite different. And all for the better. TechStars changed my life and I hope as "alpha testers" for the program, we impacted it in at least some way. Thanks Brad for posting this...trip down memory lane!

Re: Watch the creator of Sherpa show off his cool personal assistant app for Android, pit it against Siri [Video]

You also forgot Sherpaa: https://sherpaa.com/

Re: What you need to know about minimalist news app Circa

Andrew, we really appreciate the writeup! One thing I want to call out though is your statement that we're a "brute force aggregator."

1. "Traditional journalists" collects source material to produce an article. The journalists at Circa collect source material to produce a story (we don't call it an article). We're pulling information from the exact same resources traditional journalists have done for ages.
2. "Traditional journalism" typically doesn't cite every single source for the articles they write. I rarely read an article where every point has something to back it. Circa goes the step further and cites our sources.
3. What we don't outright do right now is a lot of original reporting – which I would consider to be things like direct interviews, sitting in a court room hearing, etc. We do, however do original reporting where we're able to such as covering the live broadcast of the Presidential Debates.

I just wanted to defend our stance that we're not "stealing" content and we're not a "brute force aggregator." We research a topic, collect source information, and write bite-sized chunks that focus on the facts.

Thanks again for the writeup!

Re: Max Beatty, First Impressions of Circa

Thank you SO much for trying the app and the great feedback. Let me address a few things:

1. I agree that the push notification dialog gets thrown up before you have an opportunity to know what you're being pushed. We're watching the analytics around this and will address this as best we can!

2. We try to convert people to sign up quickly, because signing up is when we can provide the most value. However, like you saw we still believe in giving new users a "preview" before fully trusting us. This is a bit of a tough call order-wise because returning users wouldn't necessarily always want to see a tutorial first if they're logged out somehow.

3. The guide actually IS bundled in the app. We designed the guide using Adobe Edge but it turns out there's a bizarre bug with the way it loads in. As we got closer to launch we didn't have a great opportunity to troubleshoot it too much but we'll be addressing it very soon.

4. We did fail pretty hard unfortunately. We expected a lot of users, but not quite the amount that actually came through...something we for sure own up to and making sure this kind of failure can be prevented.

5. We did get some 1 star reviews unfortunately. Thankfully they're turning the corner now that we're back up and running. I wish there was a way to prevent this, but alas...the server Gods were not kind to us this morning.

I appreciate all of the feedback and we're definitely considering all of it. Thanks for not giving up on us!

Re: Twitter Buys Vine, a Video Clip Company That Never Launched

The people are usually the main reason a service gets bought early.

Re: http://dustinhenderlong.com/post/31562364696

Please bring some of this with you next week.

Re: The more we connect, the more we disconnect

Look at the first paragraph under "Reconnecting" ;)

Re: http://www.rollingstone.com/preview.php/music/videos/muse-court-chaos-on-madness-20120905

"Dubstep laced?" There isn't a lick of anything that even possibly resembles Dubstep in this entire tune. It's old school - a hint of Joy Division, a pinch of Peter Gabriel and a splash of U2. I'd expect more from the reporting of a music-focused magazine.

Re: http://mgalligan.com/post/30592769414

Test comment.

Re: http://blog.davidtisch.com/post/29638236867

Wow.
