Give me a break, you must be related to TC. Haywood is being looked at as a possible 1st rounder. Weather that is true or not he will be drafted. He is only a sophomore. Will Elston ever be? Big conference? how about producing against Syacuse, K State, Duke UCLA. Once receive commitments from DSR, Davis Hammons I will eat my words.

Your damn straight I been bashing Creans and the team. I was at IU during the 1975-76 teams. I saw Isiah stay only two years but won a championship, it was worth it. Again I ask how do you know this kid is only staying one year. Again without being redundant TC recruited Teague. I am all about instant gratification, do you really think this guy can recruit one and done talent even if he chose to. To compete these days you need to have one and done players plus long term talent. Kansas example Sherron Collins and Xavier Henry.

Do you personally know Marques Teague? did he personally tell you he is one and done. Fact is, IU recruited him and they lost!! You are naive, I deal in results, their is no indication this guy can recruit Indiana talent or win at in ther Big Tenl.. By the way check out his Marquette's record and tell me how many times he competed for a championship. He rode the coat tails of D Wade for one year. You tell me are we far behind Purdue and Butler, compare records and head to head competition, and by the way throw that powerhouse Northwestern as a team we are far behind. Who cares about Jordan Hull and Derek Elston, I would take Brandon Hayword and the rest of the Butler talent in a heart beat over Jordan Hulls and Elston. I hate the fact that we are this bad with no hope for the next few years.

We are a second class program, clearly far behind Purdue and Butler. It makes me sick! TC is a bad coach who can't recruit talent in his own state. I am tired of hearing how he inherited a mess and it will take time. He is being paid big bucks to produce period!!!! Has anyone noticed Marquette has not lost a beat since Crean''s left. I can't stand Calipari, it would be very hard for me to root for him even if they played Purdue, however it is nothing but sour grapes to say Teague was bought without any basis. How about the kid wants to go to a program and compete for a championship. Don't hold your breath on Davis, Patterson or any good Indiana Player. Maybe Inside the Hall should stop discussing potential good recruits, not happening. The athletic department has made two huge mistakes in a row. Sampson and Crean.

Love watching Butler, great defense,tough, disciplined,great offensive schemes and throw in a couple of academic All Americans. Brad Stevens will be better than Thad Matta, certainly much more successful than Todd Lickleiter. He is young seems to be extremely organized, smart and most importantly he wins with decent not great talent. His calm demeanor is a reflection of his team. Indiana should admit they made a mistake, buyout TC's obnoxious contract, and hire Stevens

Apologize I did not make my self clear. I was referring to Michigan football, and how it takes time to rebuild a program unlike basketball. I hope I'm wrong and you are right about Hoosier Basketball, however I think based on the last two years and what the future looks like we choose the wrong guy to lead us back.

Having coached in high school and played in college does nothing for me. I played college football and I can assure you it doesn't qualify me for being an expert. TC has lived off of one recruit. DW. Do you like this stellar class he is bringing in. Other coaches have turned programs around very quickly. Unlike football, where you need two or three years to build depth i.e. Michigan. Basketball takes 2 or 3 studs and a system. It should not be that tough being Indiana. We have now been surpassed in the Big Ten by Northwestern. How can you possibly think this program is getting better. I also can assure you based on my discussions with people in Milwaukee no is said TC left.

Great point, they aren't real Hoosiers because they are winning and not whining. It makes me sick that Hoosier is becoming synonymous with loser.

We are sitting on our sofas for the second straight year watching the tourney, with no prospects of ever returning. The university selected the wrong coach with a bad recruiting class coming in. Kelvin Sampson may have destroyed our program, but it was Dan Dakich who put the nail on the coffin, by putting Crean's in a position where he had to get rid of Crawford, Basset, and Holman. It sucks having to watch this tourney without IU. I would take these guys back in a heartbeat and compete!!

I agree, I am not buying this inexperienced crap either. University of Florida won a championship in 05'06 with 5 sophs,Ohio State went to the final game with playing three freshman a couple of years ago. There is absolutely no improvement in Jones, Pritchard and Dumes. It's all about coaching. We are becoming the Notre Dame/Michigan of Basketball. A storied program with 5 championships currently a mediocre program. Hiring the wrong coach can kill you and we have hired three straight bad ones.

Now I understand why the Marquette Alums I know were glad to get rid of Creans. He is a bad coach!!! We were up big with 12 minutes left in the first half, he then killed any momentum by taking Creek off the floor then Watford. It was very obvious tonight that Hulls and Elston are not athletic enough to compete with better athletes at the college level.

We are not a top tier program any longer. We are U of Michigan Football of basketball. We will continue to get some 4 star players, but not 5 stars. Creans has yet to prove he can even recruit is own state. As far as Memphis buying players. Hoosierodi stop crying. Truly great programs like North Carolina, Duke, and Kansas, and Michigan State prevail in the recruiting wars over programs like Memphis. The Hoosiers were an elite program with an elite coach many years ago. No longer time to become realistic with our expectations

I think for Indiana character should and does count. However there are programs such as Memphis, UNLV,K-State where character doesn't count. I guarantee you Zeke will have his team in the tourney every year. If I were a one and done who can prepare me better then Isiah for the NBA. Not just from a playing stand point, he was also a 20 year old playing with men when he entered the league.
As far as his reception coming back to Bloomington, Big Ten, National titles, got his degree, his very vocal and proud of his IU roots. Friend of The General, and has offered assistance to Tom Crean. I suspect he would get a very warm welcome.

Diesel, I agree with his bad judge of talent, and his lack of business savoy. His record was over 500 with the Pacers. He does know how to play the game at all levels He was a very vocal leader on a NBA championship team. He demanded from his teammates what he demanded from himself His daughter's problems, sexual harassment charges have nothing to do with his basketball acumen. If we were worried about character of everyone associated with basketball, there would not be a lot of players or coaches around. Zeke will be coaching 18 year old kids who will have to listen, not a group of players who make more than their coach and have guarantee contracts .I would guess Ferguson is no different than Gordon, Michael Beasly,Derrick Rose, Kevin Love, OJ Moye and the rest of the one and done group. These kids aren't going to college to get a degree, they are there because the NBA wont take them until they are old enough. Miami, South Beach and Isiah a pretty good place to prepare for a year or two. Do you think Derrick Rose would have followed Zeke?

hmmmm, Isiah won a high school championship, college championship,NBA championship, perhaps the best little man to play in the NBA, part owner of an NBA team in Toronto, prior to the Knicks, a successful NBA coach, a top 50 all time player. I think we all can agree he probably has a clue as to what it takes to play in the NBA. Now take along with the University being located in Miami, it's hard to argue against the decision. My guess this will be one of many 5 star athletes he will recruit.
