Are you people serious? This writer is completely arrogant and full of his own self importance. I read the article and his disdain for anybody not at his level of skill is breathtaking but then he goes and makes his mobile statement! Is he seriously touting Ubuntu touch over Android and iOS as an operating system for mobile phones even though it doesn't have 3G and crashes making a phonecall? It's very core use! Fuck me that just blew my mind, really Marc? The whole article smacks of elitism, let's take computing back to the eighties 'cause mainstream users are not worthy!

What is the "something just like the iPad " Samsung created "and sold at a cheaper price"? You are probably referring to the 7" Galaxy Tab, which is not just like an iPad it's smaller. It's always good to drag out the old Apple tax meme. I'd be hard pressed to find a company selling a comparable tablet cheaper than Apple and still making more than 10 points per unit!

The greatest things tech geeks could have said about the iPad is "it's just a giant iPhone/Touch but without the phone!" It was evident how much cache the iPhone had with consumers prior to the release of the iPad the iPad was bound to be a success because "it's just a big iPhone!" In the consumers mind you equate it with iPhone it means you can't go wrong! Apples greatest marketing is the consumer themselves and that's what pisses off the fans of other platforms!
