I thought she sold the company to blu homes, good to see her back.

Re: Clay Roof Integrated Solé Power Tile

Yes, I love it .

Re: Old Containers Reused as Health Clinics

I really like what they did here, its similar to what other people are doing to. Just imagine these clinics being put up in the Samoan islands to treat the injured when there isn't a hospital in the area, or like in thailand after the tsunamis , its a perfect idea using resources that are just sitting there. I watched this video about the shipping container lots in california, I don't remember just how many containers they have but they have life tens of thousands of containers just sitting there, on top of each other , not being used. This is the perfect use for them.

Re: Let Dyson Elegantly Keep You Cool

pretty trippie, blew my mind

Re: Old Industrial Building Gets an Extreme Green Makeover

Interesting buildings or fixtures improve productivity, so maybe thats were they are going with this.

Re: Libeskind Villa Prefab Now Complete!

Natural light , and lots of it. All those angles, you can get lost . Not sure its worth the 2-3 million , don't really know why it costs that much and mind you that thats in euros, so it will be a lot more expensive by the time it gets here.

Re: Solar Gable Home by Illinois Team

I like that its simple, A open platform to changes< it will be interesting to see how it will wear over time. Im interested in the laminated bamboo, first time I have heard about anything like this for framing, which is a interesting substitution , but then again I know really nothing about other framing materials because I have only worked with wood(not laminated) and steel.Over all the look of the building < the architecture is interesting ( molding old and new) and the interior and exterior design is also interesting. Hope they do well

Re: Solaris Style B Modern Green Home

I think that this sort of takeover by large developers of building green isn't what it seems. A few months ago I was at a open house for some condos that we supposedly built green. Energy saving appliances , windows and heating. They looked new age, like this house in the article. IF you really start thinking about it, this house isn't green at all. It was built by migrant workers who have no idea what green design and building is. The appliance may say its green or the heating system, but its cheap as hell , made in china and in the long run its more harmful to the enviorment. Real green building is a crew that specializes in building green. Just because there are a few appliances that save energy and the house is painted in uncommon colors , doesn't it green. Green design should be a more soulful experience and not about knocking out a bunch of homes that might appeal to the current style. Maybe i think this way cause I am from seattle, I hate cookie cutter homes. I am used to seeing green homes that have character and home like the one in this article look fake .
