Hopefully the data above begins to round out a potential ROI case for using Social Media in Peer to Peer fundraising.

Re: How to Boost Event Fundraising with Facebook

Hi Meahgan-

FeedRaiser only supports posting to your individual page right now.

Thanks for your comment,
Ian Gruber

Re: Is Twitter and Facebook Important for Event Fundraising?

Thanks.
There are some high level statistics that Facebook posts here: http://www.facebook.com/pre...

There is also the application leaderboard: http://statistics.allfacebo...

However, I do not know of a resource that shows just apps that use Facebook events.

Apologies!

Re: How to Boost Event Fundraising with Facebook

Hi Rachel-

Right now the native Facebook & Twitter integration are only supported on Sphere. If you are using BBNC for team fundraising, we have a partner FreeCause (I linked to their site in the post) that can setup a Facebook app for you. There are additional fees going this route. You could also evaluate using Sphere for you next year's event fundraising.

Hope this information is helpful,
Ian Gruber

Re: How to Boost Event Fundraising with Facebook

Hi Jennifer- Are you an event participant or an event administrator?

If you are an event participant depending on the event you are fundraising for, the app can be installed to Facebook directly from your participant fundraising headquarters.

If you are an event administrator the application can be activated for all your event participants in the administrative section of Blackbaud Sphere.

Please let me know if I can help further!

Re: The Web in Numbers: Twitter’s Phenomenal Growth Suddenly Stops

Calculating Twitter usage should incorporate website statistics from Twitter.com and Twitter API usage.

Re: To Tweet or Not to Tweet is No Longer the Question

Awesome Nora. I think you nailed the value of Facebook for non profit organizations. It is a marketing channel (that happens to have a giant audience) that can be used to cultivate and solicit supports for organizations.

I believe there are some additional things Blackbaud's products can do to make it easier for organizations to be successful in the Facebook marketing channel.

For example, allowing Thon participants to update their Facebook status directly from their personal fundraising headquarters would be a cool way to drive traffic from Facebook back to a participant's personal page.
