According to my trusty old HAT, that isn't a valid Afrikaans word, however it does contain another vulgar word that is very very similar. But Wortel accepts neither. Remember, if LibreOffice's Afrikaans spell check doesn't accept it, then Wortel won't either. It's not as if I'm going to retype all 5 letter words that I can find in the HAT.

I'm not against accepting Afrikaans swear words as valid guesses. For me, they're part of the language and they're used regularly.

However, I won't allow historical insulting words. You know what I mean.

I think people misunderstand what th right to bodily freedom actually means. Forcing someone is tieing them to a chair, and injecting them while they're protesting. This isn't what they're proposing. If you don't want to be vaccinated, quit your job at Discovery. Then you don't get the vaccine.

A few things that don't sit right with me here. For example motivating the insurance industry's solvency levels by stating that they sit on $750 billion policyholder surplus. But, heck, by definition, that does not belong to the company. Policyholder surplus is deliberately segregated from shareholder surplus (for demutualised organisations), with the latter usually being distributed via dividends. Policyholder surplus belongs to the policyholders, aka the clients. I can't speak as to why such a level of surplus exists, but over time it should be distributed back to the policyholders via bonuses on their investments (not really applicable to the short term insurance contracts that are discussed here) or via lowering of premiums.

What else? Not even a small discussion about what it would do to premium levels if insurance companies indeed decided to underwriting every imaginable risk. If you cover every risk, premiums would be unaffordable and everyone loses out.

Oh, and his quip at the word "premiums". Urgh.

My mother inherited an eiderdown duvet from my grandmother. It's hideous. But it is quite comfortable and light. We were never told that it's an item of luxury. In fact, the cat lies on it. I didn't know what eiderdown was either until reading this article. Will try to find a photo of it.

Agreed. Every halfwit of a security expert wannabe could have told you that storing plaintext passwords is a rookie mistake. At the very least they could have used a strong 2 way hash with salt.

But their strength in the market made them cocky and they ignored basic industry standards.
