These Small, Sleek Electric Screwdrivers Want to Be Your First Power Tool.

This e-screwdriver is the worst wirecutter recommendation (looking back at the review it wasn’t an actually pick, but maybe that could be more obvious for those looking for a quick answer) I’ve ever purchased. Exceptionally bad design and actually makes me angry and embarrassed every time I use it.

CONS; the form of case: it has a dual magnetic storage, it’s cute, but you can’t keep a bit in the tool it even if you are using it frequently, meaning you have to fully open everything up every time (adds time at the start and end of every job). As you try to find the bit, don’t wear gloves! You can’t pull the parts out with them on. And don’t put the bit housing down for fear of it falling over because then all the bits will scatter because it has terrible center of gravity being tall and skinny and low magnetic attachments to the bits. And don’t put it on its side because it will roll and scatter bits. As for the drill, first thing you notice is it is a beautiful cylinder… do you know the perfectly wrong shape for a tool?? A cylinder. You can’t grab it and hold, the torque will spin it away, you can’t set it down, it will roll away. There is a reason the yellow pencil is the shape it is. You can’t find the buttons (near the rear) and if you do (still don’t be wearing gloves you won’t find them!) who knows which direction it is if you don’t look or take the time to precisely feel the button. Don’t come at the screw from a right angle, you can’t find the button again or by your hand being in the back you won’t have control. Now, if you bring your hand forward for control and use your pinky for the power button careful not to grab on to the only part with some grip grooves because that will twist and change the power setting or turn it off when you hit any mild resistance. The tool’s grab onto the bit is so weak that hex screws will hold onto the bit as you pull it out. Also, this is the only non-magnetic part… the part where it would be awesome to magnetically hold a screw so you can use it one handed while holding the object in the other hand. And then, if it isn’t a strong enough driver there isn’t a lock feature turning it into a screwdriver for that last twist, which is necessary.

PROS: Pretty, USB C recharge, and a nice light.

Re: Roll up Travel Charger is a convenient yet classy solution

BeBigStar says it all... this is a complete waste of money.

Re: http://icopythat.tumblr.com/post/2158793343

ahhhhh, I'm old. thanks all.

Re: http://colebees8.tumblr.com/post/1240104145

google analytics probably doesn't cover people who follow you through the tumbr dashboard, though.
