I don't worry with that stuff... the book itself is pretty good.

4 Hour Workweek is one of my all time favorites. You're going to enjoy it!

Re: 100th post surprise!

Awesome! If I can make any recommendations, you should lose the glasses, or cover the screen. The reflection is distracting. Vocals are good, lighting can be improved!

Overall, completely cool! Thank you very much. This was probably the most passionate and thought-filled comment that ZCL has ever received. And your experiences and advice were well heard.

I am in the process of joining a few clubs which I think will do me well (Toastmasters and Rotary). I am reading a couple of medical reference books (I love medicine and health related reading), and I'm building structure. I actually wrote this a while ago, I was just a bit nervous about posting it. I don't usually write things so personal, but I figured it might do the other college grads who are finding themselves in a surprising situation some good.

I realize how easy it is to fall into the trap of working a full time job and coming home and vegging out. That's not the lifestyle I want to live. So I must develop habits to ensure that that never happens to me.

When I was younger I had a notebook with all of my short term and long term goals. I need to create a new one. I need to be working towards a greater purpose than a paycheck each day. I think once I do that I'll have a better idea of who I want to become (aside from character traits, morals, ethics, etc.).

Thanks again Mike. I don't know if you are a regular here (I've never seen you comment before), but I hope you stop by again soon. You've really made my day!

Re: A Few New Things at The 2.0 Life

Damn! If we focused on doing
things "our own way" all the time, how would we ever improve? And how much
worse would "our own way" be than the best existing ways to do things. If
you want to learn how to drive a racecar, do you get in your car and punch
the gas, or do you learn by reading, observing, and maybe even learning from
someone who already does a fantastic job of driving a racecar.
When it comes to learning or trying to be great, learn from the best,
achieve their level of success, then strive to improve. Don't waste time
thinking you know better before you start... Realize that you know very
little and take steps to improve.

Re: 6 Tricks to a Highly Productive Me

Great stuff.
