I recently published my debut novel entitled Beyond Ice - a Novel about a terminally ill housewife and teacher who is kidnapped and cryopreserved alive against her will. Fast forward to 2043 and we see how she is reanimated and reoriented back to society. Cryopreservation is an interesting concept, but I wonder how reanimated people would adjust to a society that is very different and to the loss of all their friends and loved ones.

Re: CoasterVille 'Add Me' Page: Make new friends fast!

New Coasterville player. Please add me. however, our incomes don't leave anything extra for expensive health insurance. So glad that I just became eligible for Medicare. We need Medicare for all.

Re: "I Cannot Eat Your Prayers": How Student Debt Changed One Woman's Mind on "Christian Charity" | Belief | AlterNet

Good point. So many college graduates are working minimum wage or just slightly above jobs these days. How do you pay back a loan let alone even live on such a low wage.

Re: "I Cannot Eat Your Prayers": How Student Debt Changed One Woman's Mind on "Christian Charity" | Belief | AlterNet

The worst thing about student debt is that you can't discharge it in bankruptcy like other kinds of debt. This is so unfair. A decision to go bankrupt shouldn't be taken lightly, but it offers one a chance to eventually recover from a bad situation and start all over again. Something needs to be done about the student debt situation, and I hope the occupy movement keeps on growing. Talk about income inequality, what does a bad credit score have to do with your ability to perform a job well, yet many large companies use your credit rating score as a hiring factor. I also found that you can have a sterling driving record and still be charged a substantially higher price by most companies because of a poor credit score. What does your credit score have to do with being a safe driver? Again, just another way to extract more money from those of us struggling financially.

Hang in there. Things will get better for you. And do take 1 or 2 hours off to be with your good friends. It is important psychologically.

Re: How Killer Student Debt and Unemployment Made Young People the Leaders at Occupy Wall Street | AlterNet

One thing that can be done immediately is to allow for students who are unemployed or underemployed to be able to declare bankruptcy and be absolved of student debt. This is decidely unfair. Businesses that fail are allowed to go bankrupt, consumers holding too much credit card debt or unpaid hospital bills due to no insurance are allowed to go bankrupt, but students who can't find jobs or are working minimum wage jobs can never get rid of this albatross around their necks and start with a clean slate.

Re: The Long, Murderous Arm of the Law Has Killed Troy Davis | News & the vaccinated person could still get cervical cancer, and annual PAP smears have proven to save lives through early detection and are a much safer alternative.

Re: Rick Perry: Selling Sixth-Grade Girls' Health to the Highest Bidder? | | AlterNet

Actually it can prevent cancer by detecting precancerous lesions before they actually become cancer.

Re: Rick Perry: Selling Sixth-Grade Girls' Health to the Highest Bidder? | | AlterNet

Yes and no.
