I felt like Hill should have been canned as soon as the news came out about his involvement in that mess last season...UF has worked to hard in compliance over the last 20+ years doing it the right way to take the chance that somebody like that could screw it all up...

I'll also say that I've been posting from the mobile over thelast few days betwen here, SBN and LWS...and this Disqus system's commenting is my favorite for ease of use on the phone...being able to use html coding is a bonus on a desktop...though the image posting seems to go wonky sometimes...might be user error though and I've never tried to post any images beyond the avtar..

I understand what you're saying but the fact is that when comparing sentencing you would compare robbery with robbery in order to determine whether the punishment is fair, light or excessive...just as you would also consider other factors in the crime such as use of a weapon, previous criminal history, probation status, etc...

Great example is the fact that sex offenders routinely receive probation, light sentences and early release...meanwhile Bernie Madoff simply stole some money from people and essentially received a life sentence...

Miami's punishment will be culled under the circumstances of it's case, past history of violations and past case history where sanctions were handed out to institutions invovlved in similiar infractions...no consideration will even be given to the PSU case as it is irrelevant to UM's case...

Perhaps it is where our opinions differ historically...I believe the NCAA gets it right 99 percent of the time and you don't...however, do appreciate that the folks here all have stuck to what they have opined regarding the NCAA...rather than the hypocrisy I see from a lot of other blogs where folks piss and moan about how unfair the NCAA is but now have all the sudden become their biggest advocate...

Wordpress is excellent...pretty easy to use from my experience...I got a pardner that might be willing to help out depending on his availability and some advertising space in exchange...you also could check with "Jai" over at Losers With Socks to get his input as he's been using Wordpress pretty much from the get go...

I do like the Disqus system we use here, as well though...the ability to edit your comments for typos, etc is a nice feature...

WTF?!??!?!?...VOX and SB Nation has become the worst thing that has happened to some of my favorite CFB blogs...whether they have ruined existing ones by forcing out the originators and replacing them with "journalists" or folks trying to impersonate them...Or certain blogs ran by ego laden goofballs and a memebership contingent made up of modern day Hitler youth that have directy contributed to the closing of much more objective and rival-friendly sites..

I say TeT, Jay Coulter, yourself and the rest of those guys that contribute are better off without SBN and the association with many of the other sites that I outlined above..

Gotta disagree here...comparing Miami's punishment from their situation to PSU's punishment is an "apples to oranges comparison...In determining the fairness of what UM faces, similiar cases involving similiar aspects need to be referenced...

I was thinking more along the lines of one school having top radiology studies and sharing grant funding with a leading institution in veterinary sciences in order to head into a new area of research that neither would be able to reach a breakthrough on their own...

Pretty excited to see when I get to make my first trips to Columbia & College Station...

Been getting bored with the same old, same old for SEC road trips...There's only so much you can/need to see and do in places like Auburn, Fayetteville/Little Rock, Knox-Vegas and even Hogtown for those traveling there for their road trips versus the Gators...

I'll add that picking colors that are complementary provides high contrast...

This is especially important for school colors due to the fact that having two distinctly different colors provides the ability to often ensure you have a way to differentiate from your opponent...

For example, KY wears blue and white, thus UF fans normally will wear orange whenthe Gators are playing the Cats...

The only swinging from the mat that is happening is with my knees pinning your shoulders to it as I repeatedly slap you across the face...and if this has been your JV, I wouldn't bring the varsity because you'll go home sorely disappointed...

Except that a mid-season win over a team at #4 certainly doesn't weigh as well when that team finishes the season unranked...which is what will be considered in theonly poll that matters...the final BCS...

our current system uses preseason polls to establish a baseline that the voters then use to value teams all through the season and into the final rankings

And THAT is exactly why they are useless...

Umm...yeah...again...there are more PAC games currently played on the Mouse's networks than SEC games...therefore they earn more from PAC games than SEC games...

BUt keep on believeing that there is some grand conspiracy to keep the SEC on top...because the last thing it could assuredly be is simply that they have had the best football teams in the country the last 5 seasons...

Are you kidding me?...Of course, I know...I'm the guy that loves goin' at it with you just because you fire back and never take it seriously...

See that's the difference...Shapiro is a jock sniffer...he paid money to a school he never attended so he could be a big shot and get access to players...

I do it because I love my alama mater, the University of Florida...the access to players is extremely limited to boosters at UF and we all get bombarded with literature YEAR ROUND about complying with NCAA rules...at the Spring game, which is one of the few times boosters really get face time withthe players, we're given what my grandfather and his Legacy/Bull Gator buddies call "the speech"...you won't see Legacy donors and Bull Gators roaming the sidelines and the locker room...or celebrities hanging around at practice....the Compliance office has effectively made sure to keep tight controls on ALL things that are within the university's control...this is a key point in making sure that UF as an institutution stays the course and keeps itself out of trouble...We do it right and Miami, tOSU & USC could learn alot about how to maintain compliance from UF...

And those 9+ years are helping Miami how right now?...Those guys don't put any money back in...they can't play for Miami...they sure aren't attracting quality recruits by all appearances...and by the way...we're not talking about Miami right now...we're all laughing at Miami...

FYI...I WON the pick'em last season...and haven't really paid much attention to it past hastily making my picks this year on usually mOnday or Tuesday...but I see that you're picking of Miami has you a whole point ahead of me right now...still a long way to go...we'll see how it finishes up...
